World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE)

The World Dance Alliance is one of the four key international arts education organisations that forms the World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE).

The WAAE aims to advance research, advocacy and networking for arts education globally. The WAAE has partnered with UNESCO, Korean Arts Culture and Education Services (KACES), International Network for Research in Arts Education (INRAE), Creativity , Culture and Education (CCE), German Federation for Art Education and Cultural Learning (BKJ) and many universities worldwide. Since 2007 the WAAE has partnered with leading universities in hosting eight global conferences. We have been influential in shaping international UNESCO policy. One key outcome of our work is the development of UNESCO International Arts Education Week, which is celebrated in the last week of May annually. See: www.waae.info

The International Council for Traditional Music ICTM

ICTM is a non-governmental organisation in formal consultative relations with UNESCO, and aims to further the study, practice, documentation, preservation and dissemination of traditional music, including folk, popular, classical and urban music, and dance of all countries. WDA Research and Documentation Network partners specifically with ICTM Study Group on Ethnochoreology.
