Visa Information
Visa in Tawain is not required for visitation of under 14 days. If your length of stay exceeds 14 days, you must
apply for a visitor's visa. This may be required in your resident country through a travel agent or by applying for
a landing visa in the Tapei CKS International Airport. In this case, you must go directly to the Visa Office before
exiting the Customs Office. Once your passport is stamped, you may not reapply for a landing visa. There are a
few countries, such as communist countries, which are not allowed to apply for a landing visa. Please refer to
the BOCA guidelines below. For over 30 days residence in Taiwan, one must apply for a visa before departing
for their native country. Please contact local travel agent for more detail and to confirm the correct visa
application.
 
The Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) is an important part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. BOCA's
responsibilities concern key interests and rights of the public that are also closely related to national security.
Passport issuance, document authentication, country entry and exit, alien regulations, foreign labor
management, military service and household registration, etc., are all supervised by BOCA, which serves the
public directly.
 
 
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Atlanta represents the Republic of China on Taiwan in the
southeastern region of the United States. Our service area includes Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North
Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Serving the equivalent function of a consulate general, TECO offers
